Impact of Incremental "Extras"

Recently I was asked to do an analysis on some of the metrics associated with online ordering. I wanted to highlight one of the most interesting findings. "Extras" are 100% incremental. Either a customer purchases Extras or they don't. And while we all hope our scoopers are disciplined enough to ask the customer if they want extras, they simply can't compete with the simplicity of the online model. 



Take a look at the findings below. From March 1st thru July 25th, only .63% of all in-store orders included extras. Compare that to 2.83% of all online orders. A difference of 2.20%. That's significant.
