Hello,
I wanted to take a minute and address a question we receive quite often. The question typically goes something like this. "We updated our prices in Back Office but it didn't update our menu and/or online store. Why?"
Remember that your menu and online store are driven by what you have LINKED to your menu items in Advanced Settings. For example, if you happen to LINK the Regular Waffle Bowl to a Back Office menu item called "Extra Cherry", the price of your Regular Waffle Bowl will now be whatever you have the "Extra Cherry" priced at in your Back Office.
For stores on Silver Pro or Detailed Ringing. You CANNOT link items that have pricing variations. You must link to the items that were pushed to your Back Office during initial setup. They are hidden on your POS so nothing has to change with your In-Store protocol. But we needed to push items that could have their own individual pricing. Items that DID NOT use pricing variations.
The good news is that all of your menu's and store's should already be linked properly and you don't have anything to worry about with respect to linking.
This post is about changing prices.
Your menu pricing is driven exclusively off what the price in your Back Office is. So...If you want to change your menu price of your Regular Waffle Bowl, you need to find the item that is LINKED to the Regular Waffle Bowl and change that price. Your digital menu does not understand pricing variations.
Your OLO pricing is a little different. If you want to change your OLO pricing, you must do that in Advanced Settings.
Scroll to the section of Advanced Settings where you can see all of your OLO items and their current pricing. See Image below. Update your pricing and DON'T FORGET TO HIT THE "UPDATE PRICING" button.
Hopefully, this post clears up the questions we're receiving about pricing.
There's also another very popular option that is perfectly fine. Just shoot us a note and tell us you've changed your pricing and need your menu/store updated. We're perfectly fine with that approach too.
Thanks,
Bret & Colleen
